Needed a break from the heat! Invited some friends to do a little walk-about. Subway fit the bill for a 112 Deg. F. day in the city. Group consisted of Joanne, Alie, Dave, Dave, Dave, Matt, Matt and I. We wanted to add Das Boot, but, but, but, it was a fun filled day even without stepping on an Elk carcass. Here are a couple pics of the better looking members of our group. I will post many more as they begin to roll in from the other members!

I don't think there is such a thing as a bad trip in the Subway?! Miss you Felicia. Hope your therapy regimen is coming along well and that you'll get out and back into the wild soon.

I was told that the "Elk Stepover Route" was closed?! Anyway...hope you have an awesome trip. Could you do me a favor? Along the spine is a flavorfull cut. Would think that it is well aged now and I'll fire up the BBQ! Say 7PM tomorrow night!?

Yeah, Joanne and Alie were a lot of fun. Hope to get together with them again for some great hikes. It was really a great group that went. There were 3 Daves, 2 Matts, One Joanne, One Alie and I. Had to be careful on the trip to make sure I didn't say, "Dave, can you let go of the rope?", at the wrong time!:lol8:

I printed the permit, it states:

"Be prepared for cold water swims. There is a deceased Elk at the first rappel and
you will have to step over the dry rotting carcass."

Yea, I already had dibs on the inner loins, might be a little front shoulder left.:lol8:

Was a couple gals working when we stopped by the Rat back in May. My climbing partner was tryin' to figure out how to name drop himself...alas, I wasn't helping! Too funny (Jeff's a fairly prolific FA'er down there).

Great shots, Bo.

And, yeah, keep 'em coming!

Anyone want to poach, uhhh, do a canyon nearby in a week or two? You know, one that's kinda half in, half out. Email me off line. Hee hee.
