Poor kid. In the first few seconds of the dad's rant, I wanted to think this was funny... and indeed some elements of it are funny, but as a school counselor, and having dealt with teenage girls who are being cyber bullied, I just can't. I feel horrible for this poor girl. I've seen too many kids like this in my office.

And, unfortunately, I've also met their screaming/fanatical/crazed/high parents as well... who would like me to help "backtrace" the kids who did the tormenting.

This video makes me hurt.

This video makes me hurt.

Ditto. Very well put, mtthwlw. I guess it takes all kinds. I just don't get how this is funny, though.Maybe it's an internet thing - I think it started with America's Funniest Home Videos, myself. Suddenly, watching the pain of others became the height of comedy. The greater the pain (embarrassment, anger, etc.), the greater the comedy. :ne_nau:

Here's the story... This 11 year old girl posts a video talking to the "haters" telling them not to be jealous of her, normal girl stuff.

They found out her email address & info, yadda yadda yadda...

Here's the video that started it. Warning - Language

So Very Sad. It makes me wonder what drama will be in her life when she reaches the ripe old age of 16. 0r 18. Too bad she has no sensible guidance whatsoever at home.

I laughed at the "backtraced" comment, the dads overall demeanor and comments. I hadn't seen the original video. Obviously the girl is messed up and it seems like she had it coming. Having a poor family support structure is certainly sad.

I don't think you guys understand how serious this is. There is going to be a legion of people harassing her night and day. They have her home address, phone numbers... Pretty much any information she ever put on the net is now in the hands of these people. They are ordering pizzas to her house every hour, they are calling her parents and pretending to be the police to get even more info to use against her family. They will be merciless in this until she is broken. Anonymous is not to be trifled with.

Couple F-bombs in here FYI, but it explains better the situation she is in I think.

I feel sorry for her, but I kinda don't. These guys will probably be better parents than her existing ones.
