Hey everyone, I went on an overnight backpack on Pine Valley this weekend. It was a nice escape from the heat, but we ran into a ton of mosquitoes at camp. Off worked for the most part, we just had to apply a new coat every half hour or so. Other than that, it was a great trip and I'd recommend this area to anyone in southern Utah.

Great pics! I've always wondered what it was like up there as I drive through St. George.

Nice.
I grew up on the north side of Pine Valley. Which doesn't look as nice now thanks to the Mill Flat Fire fiasco.
Nice to see that there's at least some green left on the Mtn.
Anderson Valley is one of my favoritest place on earth.

Nice pics dude! I have hiked up the ......... What ever side that is you get to from the silver reef exit side. It is indeed very nice up there. An overnight camping trip sounds like some fun. Thanks for sharing

Spent many days/nights up there. It is nice but somewhat small as far as mountain ranges go.
Did you go North of Whipple at all?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Nope, I never have. Is it nice up there? I wanted to check out North Valley and West Valley, but decided against it. I'll probably check them out the next time I head up. Is there water flowing anywhere up there year round, or just at Further Water?

Nice TR! What were the temps like daytime and overnight? We have been looking at that range, since the Uintas are gonna be sopped in for a bit. Did you do any fishing? Are their fish? Looks like my kind of place for sure! :2thumbs:

fish are from the reservoir down.... sometimes the fish are above during high flow but not higher then the campgrounds.
