Finally, I mtn biked around Navajo Lake in So Utah last Sunday. I would catch glimpses of NL when driving by on Hwy 14 on my way to or from Cedar City, Utah. This relatively flat 12 mile single-track loop weaved thru pine trees, lava fields, open meadows with multi-colored flowers and constant views of the lake. We were blessed with sporadic light right rain, and I took my new PI rain jacket on & off through out the ride. There are other harder single-track mtn bike rides into the woods which we hiked too. Lots of primitive camping in the area and we ended our trip walking the dyke and swimming in the clear clean water.

I wanted to do this ride Sunday, but took a look at the skies and crawled back in bed. Thanks for the report. Good motivation for me to go the weekend of July 24th.

I drove by this on my way to Thunder Mtn near Bryce. Looks like a fun trail.

We did part of this trail last Friday (see my trip report) but hopped up to the Virgin River Rim Trail. What an awesome place!
