I would just like to plug a non-profit site Southwest Backcountry designed to be an informative source for those who enjoy camping, hiking, exploration and appreciate the beauty and history of the west. This site was established to be an informational source depicting images, maps and information about this country

So.... bottom line.... if you want to promote an outside interest that is related to Bogley that's cool..... just participate in the forums. Consider it free advertising for providing a value to our members.

If your only reason for posting on Bogley is to promote an outside interest or product than please contact Bogley about purchasing advertising space. makes it clear what is the spirit of rule ... what's gray is when is it okay to spam/promote/share?

Bill & Teresa-
Welcome to Bogley! Here's a few suggestions to make your time on Bogley more enjoyable for us and for you.

Please take the time to introduce yourselves and comment on a few trip reports. Commenting on some eye-shattering photos is a great way to ease into participation in the forums.

Hey- add a few of your own trip reports! If the southwestbackcountry website is your own, you can probably add some quite good ones. We're all looking forward to reading them. This is what Bogley is all about- sharing the cool experiences we've had. Upload a few photos, share the tension of the moment when you almost died, and recollect on how you'd do it better next time. Just remember- your trip isn't epic unless somebody dies.

Oh, and one small other thing. Don't send personal attacks in private messages. Even though denaliguide, stefan, trackrunner, and now I have also included the word "spam" in our followup posts to yours, don't ever, ever, EVER resort to the personal attacks. The personal attacks are a prime indicator that you are "definitely spam", instead of just "possibly spam".

Welcome again to Bogley.

Sincerely,

uintahiker
