It was Aaron's (age 15) hardest climb to date. One had to ascent 4,000 feet thru brush, river crossing, and steep snow, rap 100 feet thru a notch, dance over a gaping moat, on to a huge and isolated glacier. Then dodge cravasses for over 1 mile. Up the toe of the ridge, over 1,000 vertical feet of 4th and 5th class knife edge, to a spectacular bivy on the ridge. The next day, 8 more pitches of 5.6 to the summit. A dangerous mountain to get off of, 5 raps and a long, exposed and insecure traverse led to safer ground, still 4,500 vertical feet above the trail head. Three fun days. We head off to the North Cascades tomorrow, for 22 days. Enjoy the pictures
