I have a pair of Hitec waterproof boots that are treating me very well. On my last outing I snagged the canvas? fabric part of the boot and it now has a small tear right were the crease is every time I take a step. They are still waterproof but I dont want the tear to get worse and damage the waterproofing. Is there any way to repair @ home, or do I take it to a shoe repair guy???

If it goes to the repair shop has anyone been happy with the results and if so where did you go???

The boots are these.

aquaseal or seamgrip will prevent the tear from getting worse. just a thin layer will work, you can build it up if neccessary, too thick and it may affect the flex.

That stuff they repair dry-suits at diving shops with works well, from what I hear.
