We finally managed to get on the river for the first time this year! We were supposed to do this stretch of the Colorado a few weeks ago, but that trip was cancelled because of weather. Luckily we were able to find time this weekend to try it again. Here's a few photos I took throughout the afternoon on my old Canon point & shoot...

Loaded up and ready to go

Weather was great, water was moving pretty fast.

The water was still moving pretty quick. We finished the trip in under 3.5 hours which included a stop for lunch at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. It was a great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon :)

Very cool! Is it on Colorado? Did you go over night or a day trip?

great photos. that is where i started my guiding career in 76. i was going to school at cmc and worked summers as a raft guide in the fledging commercial raft industry in glenwood. don't know how many times i made the run from glenwood to dinosaur. used to run shoshone a bunch too. great memories. thanks for bringing them back.
