Coldwater Canyon overlook

This was another great ride last night. It was my neighbor Mark B and I.

We saw maybe a handful of mtn bikers, and a few hikers at the overlook having a nice little picnic.

When we were coming down, we met 3 horse riders coming up. There's more to that story;

This trail is a nice short one, beautiful scenery. I'm not sure on the mileage, but I'm guessing about 2.5 miles up.

We noticed they are building a new trail up there, so there were machine tracks that had widened the trail until it split off at the "dome overlook" @ 1/3 mile before the top of the trail. Looks like a cool trail they're building, but the widening of the trail on the way up kinda sucked. It used to be some nice singletrack.

Yeah, it's in great shape. One option for this trail is to park a vehicle down by Pineview Dam at the bottom of Wheeler. Ride to the top of the overlook and get all that downhill in for a shuttle.
