We (husband & I & dog) packed our gear for a quick overnight trip up North Canyon to the Barkers above Escalante Ut. He fished, I paddled around on my Alpaca raft to get away from newly hatched swarms of mosquitoes. He caught a huge tiger trout using worms. It was a cold but star-filled night. My de-flated raft was frosty the next morning. I know I can pack my raft (less than 8 lbs) anywhere I can backpack. Opens new trip possibilities.
