Rich? Bo? Tom? SAR guys?

Did anyone ever get close to needing SAR or actually was saved by SAR?

Well, we had the Pyscho Damage incident where SAR got called, then cancelled about an hour later:

And two years ago in Das Boot, though it is not clear SAR woulda made it in time. I guess the good news is that hypothermia is slow:

Otherwise, I have been LUCKY and skillful enough to avoid assisted canyon departure.

A tough one to say? I would think that I've been pretty close to needing assistance many times but pulled through unscathed. Lets see?

When I was 4 and my dad and I lost the canoe in a rapid on the Wilammit River, and I got hung up on a log while dad continued downriver?

Maybe it was when I crashed my hangglider in the Sandia Mountains and had to hike out to insure I didn't stand up my date for a Jackson Browne/ Linda Ronstadt concert in Santa Fe?

Or was it in the South Pacific when we broke a spar and almost lost our mast?

Actually the closest might have been when I was with the SAR Team and we all almost lost our lives in a Flash Flood in Behunin?

I did have a surfer on Waikiki save my but after I crushed my face in a windsurfing accident!

Had SAR Called when we dropped into The Subway in 05. Luckily we were able to hike out on our own the next morning. This year when I broke my leg in The Subway I wanted to push the 911 button on my Spot so bad but I didn't.
