We had a good rain here last night, I wonder if it rained up there.

Mtnbkr's report said there were a few puddles, maybe we could just try up to the Coldwater Canyon overlook.

Either way, I'm eager to get up there. Let's meet somewhere around 5:30? Maybe even Rainbow Gardens and head up.

Update from facebook friend:
As of June 7 Wheelers, Ice Box, and the Overlook are all dry. Maples, East Fork and Green Pond have a few mud puddles, but still rideable with only a few dismounts. Middle Fork I've heard is still too muddy. If you loop lower Green Pond to Maples/Overlook you will ride through a muddy section where Snowbasin has cleared the trail through the halfpipe. BTW the Mt Ogden bi-weekly MTB race series starts on June 16th and continues every other Wed evening at Snowbasin. Enjoy!

what is up with this rain? Dad said it was raining like mad for a few minutes, greens usually dries out pretty fast and can handle some rain.

I will ride with you tonight. I live close to Weber canyon so if you want to ride Green pond I will just meet you up there.
If you guys are starting at wheeler I can meet you at Rainbow or at the Wheeler trailhead. Let me know the plan.:2thumbs:

K, I'm still planning on riding.

It's sounding like the Green Ponds area has the most mud. What if we just met at the lower Snowbasin parking lot and shot up to the overlook? What do you guys think? Luce sounds like he'll be coming up from SLC, should we say 6:00?

I will be there at 6. If you dont see me at the trailhead I will be where Maples trail meets the overlook trail by the old campground. I might ride some of Maples trail before you guys show up.

Hey Ryan, I thought I had your number, I guess not...

I just called Luce, I'm gonna have to bail at the last minute on this one.

Luce is actually up there now an hour early, so you may run into him around the Maples area. Sorry fellas, have a good ride.

Hey, Beech I ran into Luce about 5:20 in the lower parking lot. We rode across the resort about a mile then back and up the overlook. Great conditions!
As soon as we loaded up and started to drive home it began raining hard. Looks like it will be wet for a few days now.:cry1:
I guess we will have to ride the BST this weekend.

Yeah, that's a great area to ride. It looks like rain again this weekend, but I hope it can dry out a few days during the week.

Were there any horse/cow tracks chewing up the trail? I heard there were, but maybe on a different section.
