What a wet, cold spring. Very unusual weather patterns pushed many of the blooms
back a couple weeks. Here is some of my springtime hiking.
and some pictures.

Saw a desert tortoise at Valley of Fire and some wild turkeys at blackrock.
Saw a rattlesnake at Snow Canyon, too. What an eventful springtime.
Can't wait for more!

Oh, there's supposed to be a cave on the Arizona Strip down on the east side of
black rock mtn? Anyone know where? Supposed to be able to go down a couple hundred feet down. It's on the loop road at the bottom, somewhere.
Or, it is on the south side of seegmiller? help?

Hope you like the pictures.
Heading out to the notch along the Virgin River on Monday to gain a route up the
western ridges of the Virgin Mtns. near Whitney Pockets.

cheers!

Some really enticing photos Jerry! That snake looked as though he isn't underfed! Great stuff.

I recently went into a cave with a friend. He has discovered somewhere around 300? caves out there. You might stop by the store and I could let you know how to contact him. He was in the store the day before yesterday and presented me with photos that were taken by a proffessional photographer during our trip last month. He also showed me pictures of 3 other caves that he had found all sorts of artifacts within. Whole pots, baskets, tools and other cool stuff.

Hi, Tanya! Can't wait to get up to Zion once the road construction is over.
Maybe with all the construction, a goo time to explore more of the North rim and Kaibab? ahhhh They say there's still wild cattelo up there?
