Recommendations for a Memorial Day hike?

Any suggestions? I'm going with my son, his wife, and my grandson (who is not quite 1 year old and will be in a backpack carrier). So I'm thinking nothing too challenging, but something interesting none the less.

I should add that I'm talking about around the Salt Lake Valley. Maybe the White Pine/Red Pine area. Has anyone been up there and seen how deep the snow is in that area?

We ended up going up the Mill D trail, towards Dog Lake Lake Desolation. There was still a lot of snow up there, and with a kid in a backpack, my son and his wife wanted to turn around and go back rather than risk slipping with the kid. We made it about to the fork in the trail where the left trail heads to Dog Lake and the right fork goes to Desolation. Super nice weather.
