I think this place needs a thread dedicated to xkcd comics - I'm always wanting to post the ones that make me chuckle, but don't really have a spot. Here it is...

Mouse-over text: Three headstones down, I got a call from my mom and it went from bad to worse.

It's not xkcd but I think it has the right flavor.

Shaun, that one about "Someone is wrong on the internet" has become an acronym - "I went all SIWOTI on some n00b last night on Bogley". That is one of my all time faves. If they had a T-shirt of that, I'd get it. I am considering this t-shirt:

or maybe (for the skeptic in me):

Don - sometimes the guy can totally do the wistful tear-to-the-eye thing. He can really nail it.

Shaun, I love both of those. Especially the zits on L337 dood's face. :haha:

Yeah, "been there, done that" to Don's post. This one hits home for me as a combination Math-geek and, well...guy.

I recently read a bit about island dwarfism in Richard Dawkins' The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution so this one seemed pretty funny this morning.

They actually started the reversed-text practice in 1973 -- not for ease-of-reading reasons, but because too many people were driving backward down the highway blasting the Star Wars opening theme.

Whenever people act all worried about me going canyoneering I explain that statistically I have a better chance of dying driving to or from work than in a canyon.

So I found this funny:

Hahahaa the funny thing about this is that I install these systems and pretty every one has a backdoor that takes you to tier two tech support. You can bypass the level 1 retard every time.

Ah, some excellent skepticism from xkcd:

"Not to be confused with 'making money selling this stuff to OTHER people who think it works', which corporate accountants and actuaries have zero problems with."

Don

Wow, that's even a good argument. I'm going to end up using this in a real discussion one day...
