I contacted them and made the suggestion, and got a speedy reply. Here is their contact page: http://www.utahsportscommission.com/contact.html

"Thanks for the email and the input. I suppose the reason we haven't included whitewater footage in our ads up to this point is the footage we use is from sporting events that we have either hosted or partnered with. We aren't aware of any whitewater competitions that have taken place in Utah. If you know of any, we would be more than interested in learning about them. We recognize there are so many amazing sporting activities and events going on in Utah, but we as an organization have not been a part of and would not want to misrepresent our involvement with them. The Utah Office of Tourism features whitewater rafting in some of their ads, which may be a better platform as it is targeting the out of state visitor. We are in the process of creating a new :30 spot and will be gathering new footage and will keep your request in mind.
Thanks again.

So it's geared mainly around competitive events. If there are any whitewater events in Utah, they'd be interested in teaming up with them.

But they have canyoneering as a competitive sport? On the other hand, the less people know about the secret of Utah, the better my chances are at pulling permits. So I am cool with that ad, let them fly their planes and play golf. :bootyshake:
