So my wife, brother, and I hiked up to Dude Peak this Sunday. My wife and I are still conditioning ourselves to handle backpacking and challenging hikes for the upcoming seasons, my brother on the other hand we couldn't stop from running circles around us. This was a great little day hike that really helped us out. I've been dropping weight now for about the past 3 months and and down 44 pounds from a whopping 366. YA BABY!
We started off on some private land above the Eaglewood golf course (we got permission mind you) and hiked for about 2 hours before we got to the peak. It was an amazing view. The hike down was a bit painful though. We decided to go a different way down and I ended up having to plow through about 500 yard of deep snow while wearing shorts. OUCH!
Good times though and it sure was a great hike.
Someone tried to pry this out with a nail. What a jackalope.
