Rustler's Loop

Since I wasn't planning on going anywhere with the Jeep today, I decided to get up early and head over to the Kokopelli bike trails near Loma to check out this popular trail. It was a great 3.5 mile loop with excellent views over Horsethief Canyon and the Colorado River. I just started mountain biking last year, so I'm still pretty much a newbie, but I hope to change that soon :) Here's a few pictures from along the way....

Very nice! We rode this about a week ago as well. We finished Horsethief Bench and got back to our car with time to spare so we decided to give this a spin. We weren't really expecting too much as it is the designated beginner trail in the area. We were very pleasantly surprised! It is a ton of fun. Nice smooth singletrack with a few little obstacles. Good times.

Nice write up. Half of our group split up and rode the Horse thief trail. I spoke with one of the guys yesterday and he said that it was a fun ride. I opted to ride the freelunch trail. We said that we would definitely be back for some Colorado riding. The Moab trails tend to really beat up a bike.
