This is my proper method for makin' bacon.
Do you hate the grease splatter left over on the stove surface (or... does your wife hate it?) And don't tell me you're waiting half an hour for the oven to preheat so you can bake your bacon... :fitz:
Get 3 paper towels
Get yer bacon, lay them side by side
Cover them with 2-3 paper towels
Cook in the microwave for @ 45 seconds per slice of bacon.
Example, for these 6 slices, I put them on for about 4 minutes, depending on your preference of crispiness. I'm a softer bacon fellow.
Result: No pan to wash, no grease to scrub off of the stove top, no argument with the spouse approximately 3 days later.
The paper towels absorb most of the grease. For a full pound of bacon, you're probably doing this procedure twice.
