For Easter, Amanda and I spent our day exploring some new trails east of Moab that we had not been on before. Our first destination was the short but very scenic South Fork of Sevenmile Canyon.

Much of this trail was in a sandy wash

The further up the canyon we went, the rockier and narrower the trail got

This was a dead end trail, so once we reached the end we turned around and headed for our next destination, which would be the Taylor Rim trail.

Unfortunately, when we reached Canyonlands boundary, Amanda did not feel like hiking to Taylor Canyon Rim, and I didn't want to go alone, so instead we headed over to Beehive Butte. The hike will have to wait for another day.

From Beehive Butte we made our way over to the Mineral Bottom Road, where I took a left onto the Mineral Cutoff Road which took us to Hell Roaring Rim.

After reaching the highway again near Horsethief Campground, we ended up heading back home for the day.

On our way home, I pulled off UT-128 to take a nice picture of the new bumper I had installed the day before

It was a great way to spend Easter!

Nice photos Randy, it looks like it was an enjoyable trip. How were the crowds in that area?

I stayed on trails and roads that aren't as well known/popular as others in the area. I actually didn't run into any other vehicles all day on the trails. Only met up with two nice equestrians in Sevenmile Canyon who we chatted with for a little bit.

Excellent. How close are you to Moab?

Excellent. How close are you to Moab?

How close are these trails to Moab? or how close do I live to Moab?

These trails were between Moab and Canyonlands (Island in the Sky) off of UT-313

If you were asking how close I live to Moab, then the answer is about 90 miles to town.
