Sombeech just hooked up our mobile app which supports iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia. It's called Tapatalk and you can get it in the app store on your device. There is a free limited version or a full version for $2.99. I have been using it a bit and it works great.
The full version will allow you to upload photos from your phone into a bogley post.

Enjoy. :2thumbs:

I just found a work around. Grab the free photobucket app. Once you upload a photo to your album you can grab the IMG code from any of your photos and paste it into your Tapatalk post. Works like a charm. :cool2:

I posted the last photo in this thread from Tapatalk...

Could I get a volunteer to upload a photo from their phone? The small image size has bugged me, I would like to see if I've fixed that. Hopefully it will come in at 800 wide this time.

I read in the last Tapatalk update from the app store that there were some changed needed by the forum admin in order for the new features to take affect from the update.

Is it the wider icon you're talking about? If so, I don't think so, Tapatalk controls all of this. I'll check it out though.

Don
06-13-2011, 08:18 AM
Yeah, the widget is the width of two regular icons. It has a forum icon and says the user name and forum name in the widget. Instead of opening to the tapatalk home the widget is set for a specific forum and takes me directly into that forum. I follow a couple other forums this way and the widget for them is a custom icon representing that forum. Bogley's is a cheesy default tapatalk icon.
I'm not sure how to get a screen capture on my android but I could take a picture this evening if you want...

I'm not sure what that cost is but it isn't what I was asking about. I asked the question at the Tapatalk support forum and got an answer that worked. (http://www.tapatalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=31433#post31433) I just had to delete the widget, go into Tapatalk and refresh my favorites and then recreate the widget. Neat Bogley Icon now!

Yeah, the icon I've always had is the purple looking icon for the Tapatalk forum widget in that picture, except it said my user name and '@Bogley' next to it. Now I have a square black icon and in the icon is the word 'Bogley' in the same font as the Bogley logo, with 'Outdoor Community' in small print right under it. I should really figure out how to do a screen capture on my phone...

For some strange reason, iPhone is the only OS that can easily do screenshots. Not sure why, but the way it's treated it's like some copyright thing.

It may be specific to your device. For instance I think if I press the Home and Back buttons simultaneously on my Samsung Vibrant, it takes the screenshot.

Android will have the luxury of selection, different brands, different sizes, prices..... iPad will be the same manufacturer, same model, and the same price range.

They will both do what you want, they'll operate pretty much the same way, close to the same features. Most of the apps are available in either market.
