A couple of years ago John and I were out wine tasting on the Foxen Trail and decided to have supper in Los Olivos at Fess Parker's restaurant. Earlier in the day, we had been out to the Fess Parker Winery. We always taste there when we are in this area.
During supper I excused myself from the table and on my way back to my supper, I was distracted by two huge standard poodles in the lobby. I had a great conversation with their owner. The gentleman was very nice. Very friendly as he introduced me to each of his dogs, then his wife, his friend Ed Ames and Mr Ames wife.
When I returned to my supper, John looked at me - I knew I was gone a bit "too long". He said "I can't believe that YOU get to meet Davy Crockett!" Another great memory.
