It's 0F outside right now. It's not unusually cold, but it may be significant because I'm thinking it might be our last 0F or below of the season. Last year (2009) our last official 0 or below temperature was April 5 and the year before (2008) our last official 0 or below temperature was April 1.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I'm guessing that this will be our last 0F of the season. I guess that means spring really is here. :2thumbs: It will still snow in May and maybe June, but I think we're done with the worst of it.
Long term forecast say we might hit our first 50F degree day of the year sometime late next week (though I'll be going to somewhere warmer than that for spring break).
Anyway, here is the breakdown so far this winter:
November 2009: 7 nights 0 or below; coldest temp -7F
December 2009: 20 nights 0 or below; coldest temp -30F
January 2010: 21 nights 0 or below; coldest temp -34F
February 2010: 17 nights 0 or below; coldest temp -20F
March 2010: 2 nights 0 or below; coldest temp 0F
Winter season 2009-2010: 67 nights 0 or below; coldest temp -34F
Bring on Spring! :2thumbs:
