I just had to make the first decision of putting a dog to sleep. Her name was Tulip. She had a stomach tumor that was terminal. She played and lived well until the end. She is now rolling in a big pile of socks. I love ya Tu... and I'll miss ya. :2thumbs:

Man...I totally empathize. I've had to put 3 dogs to sleep in the last 20 years. 2 collies, both of which developed cancer and most recently my heinze 57 "Bella" that got an advanced uterous infection that destroyed her liver. It sucks and it's something that hangs on for a long time, but does get better.

Sorry bro. I had to put down a dog a few years ago. We bought 2 new ones to fill the gap. :2thumbs:

So sorry, man. Such a hard decision to have to make, but it's so much better for her. All the best to you.

Sending my condolences your way too.

It's a pain we all must face when we accept the love and joy of those animals that we bring into to our lives.

Best wishes from Paul, Robin, Aaron, Patches and Skip

Thanks everyone, you know you think was it worth the pain and anguish you go through. I look back and don't regret a thing. I'd do it all over again. Tulip was that special.

Bart: "Is there a doggy hell?"

Homer: "Well... Of course, there couldn't be a heaven if there weren't a hell."

Bart: "Who's in there?"

Homer: "Oh, uh... Hitler's dog... and that dog Nixon had, what's his name, um, Chester..."

Lisa: "Checkers."

Homer: "Yeah! One of the Lassies is in there, too. The mean one! The one that mauled Timmy!"

The last time I had to put a dog to sleep she was 16. I did cry and I still miss her. It was many years after that before I owned another because I felt so bad.
The new one is now 3 years old so I am hoping this does not come up for me for many many years still to come of hiking and camping and walking with her.
I feel bad for you, I love my dog as much as I love any one.
