Trying to find out some info on a pair of guns my son and I recently inherited - they are both Stevens (Savage no frills) one a 322 and the other a 322a. These are both 22 Hornets. From what I found on the net they were only made from 1947 to 1950. They were superceded by the 342 when Savage discontinued them as Stevens and started making them under their own name. Many of the parts are interchangeable with the 342. Other than a few tidbits of info I'm coming up mostly blank.

Any info you have is welcome!

I have been able to get information on older guns by talking with Ron in Cabellas gun library. The .22 hornet is a very potent varmint gun. The ammo is a bit pricey, although you can reload it.

I stopped by Cabelas. The guy there at the time couldn't tell me much so he gave me the card for another shop in town who works on older guns. I'll have to hit them up when I get time.
