:haha:

I never leave voice mail anymore. If I miss someone I send an email or a text instead.

Had this discussion with someone at work last night. She doesn't have Caller ID on her cell. If she misses a call, she can only call back if they leave a message. Her son doesn't have voice mail. If he misses a call, he just calls the number back. On the other hand, if she just wants her son to pick up milk on the way home, she want to be able to just say "Get milk", and doesn't want him to call back. He thinks she should just text that to him. She doesn't have texting in her plan, because she never uses it, so why spend 25 cents or whatever when she can just phone and say "Get milk".

It's a conundrum.

iPhone visual voice mail = a great thing. Push a button on the phone, and listen to your message. Easy.

Long before I had a cell phone, I had a pager for work. I opted to get voice mail with the pager. When someone would leave a message for me, I would have to call the voicemail, to get the "call me back' message...

Grrr!

For a long time I thought texting was just a kids thing and never used it on my cell..... now my kids have cell's and I find texting is much better than voice mail. leaving a message like "Get Milk" is so simple and you know the kids get the memo... anyhoo... I now do texting...

And I've also found out setexting with the wife can lead to a few fun adventures.... "Get Astroglide, gorilla suit and feather"... :giveit: :smoking: :bird:

These are the best. You're driving around, waiting for details on where to meet up with friends, what parking lot, who's driving... You call and call with no answer.

You pick up your phone and to your dismay you've missed a call - but YES! There's a voice mail! Finally, answers!

"Justin, call me back"
