Let's go to Fruita CO this year

I've been saying it for years, so let's make this the year that we ride in Fruita. :2thumbs:

When's the best time?

Who's been there that can show us around?

Can we fit 3 or 4 trails in a weekend?

Fruita is awesome! If you look at the yearly temperature charts, it's pretty much the same as Moab (maybe a few degrees cooler). Sooo, I have a group going to Moab/Fruita on April 14th if anybody wants to join us.


Can we fit 3 or 4 trails in a weekend?

Yes. Well, define "weekend." You can easily do 2 trails per day, and perhaps more. There are 3 main trailheads in the area, and there are countless options that leave from each trailhead. So you can link a bunch of different rides together.

Sooo, I have a group going to Moab/Fruita on April 14th if anybody wants to join us.

I just got an invite to go with a group out of Cache Valley on April 15-17. They are going to leave way early on the 15th and hit slickrock and porcupine rim in Moab then continue on to Fruita for a couple more days. Is this the same group that you're going with? Sounds like a good time and I think I'm going to end up going along with my bro-in-law. If so, this will be my first time there. I'm looking forward to a nice biking trip. It's been too long.

Our bike club in Green River (WY) is going for the Fruita Fat Tire Festival the end of April. ANYONE who wants to go is welcome. Just have to let me know a little in advance - we have a campground reserved but I dont know for how many and I need to let the club president know if we are expecting more. Should be a great time.
