I'm a product tester for Olympus and they are coming out with an updated Tough series camera soon - hush hush. Can't give away details but it's even better than before! Thus, as I await for the new camera to arrive I'll be selling my old one...
Anways...
I'm selling a Olympus Tough 8000 digital camera. It is well-used. I have had it for less than a year. There are no scratches on the LCD (first day I had it I put on a invisible shield). The lens has a micro-scratch on it - BUT it is unoticeable in the pictures. And you can only see the micro-scratch if you hold it directly in the light and tilt it just right. Promise - it does not affect pictures at all.
The physical condition definitely has wear and tear on it (scratches), but that's what this camera was designed for.
Here's the following canyons it has been through:
Keyhole, Pinecreek, Mystery, Behunin, Neon, Choprock, Kolob, Spry, Rock Canyon, cascading down Battle Creek Falls and Rocky Mouth Canyon (you can check my TRs for pics and videos for the waterfalls), Egypt 3-4, North Wash Canyons, Moab Canyons: U-turn, Cameltoe, Dragonfly, Elephant Butte, Teirdrop, Pleiades, The Virgin River (full 16-miles) 2x, Benson Creek.
And I have taken it with me on many hikes too: Mt. Olympus, Mt. Nebo, Mt. Timpanagous, Pffeierhorn, Mt. Baldy, Kings Peak, Francis Peak, Notch Peak, Signal Peak, Goblin Valley, and San Rafael Swell.
and few caving places: Bloomington Cave, un-named cave on AZ strip, ice caves on AZ strip, and Mammoth Cave.
Also, it has been to the beach once and snorkeling, along with scubadiving once to the Homestead Crater in Midway, Utah (awesome time!).
Also, I have taken it on a few skiing journeys.
AS YOU CAN SEE - it has a LOT of miles and it's very well used LOL - and the camera is still in GREAT SHAPE!
I'll get some pics up in awhile from my iphone and you will see.
ALSO: it comes with all the manuals and original equipment. No spare batteries, sorry. Contains 1 installation CD (which you don't need, btw). And like I said earlier, it has a invisible shield on the LCD from day one.
Also I'm including a free 2GB Olympus xD card. I'm also going to throw in the Olympus Memory Adapter (xD to USB).
I live in Kaysville so feel free to email me if you wanna check it out first-hand.
Here are the highlighted specs from Olympus's website:
----------------------------------------
Features:
SHOCKPROOF
Durable metal body with an innovative shock-absorbing technology protects it from drops of up to 6.6 feet.
WATERPROOF
A revolutionary system of waterproof seals and gaskets keeps water out so you can take pictures as deep as 33 feet underwater.
FREEZEPROOF
It's Freezeproof to 14
