I was surprised they kept spraying them with their hose after you hit them. That really does just add insult to injury.

That was AWESOME! :hail2thechief: I can't wait for the new season! So much for the new James Bond Boat. I wonder if Paul Watson was on it or if like usual he had some of his devout ship mates out doing the dirty work. Oh, man am I stoked for the new season. I heard the VS network is doing reallity show too, from the Japanese point of view. :haha: It will be hosted by Jeff Foxworthy.

I have never seen that TV show but this really is some exciting footage.

this has been going on for the last 4 years. it was just a matter of time before a boat got sunk.
sea shepherd is not exactly blameless in antartic waters either. paul watson has rammed several ships with his "can opener" in attempts to rip holes in them. surprised he never succeded.
guess that shows that high tech doesn't mean high strength. glad no one got hurt. the second video made it look a lot worse. looked like the andy gil wasn't even really moving that much.
wonder what kind of insurance you have to have.

As much as I disagree with the Japanese continuing to hunt whales, those guys in the Andy Gil got what they deserved (I think).

Because Jeff Foxworthy and his demographic support commercial whaling?

So if I am up the canyon and see someone poaching an elk and I tell them to stop then follow down them canyon you're saying that if they purposely run into my car I deserve that?

But are they really poaching? They sure don't think they are.

No, but if you constantly harass me and threaten to crash into my car, I might be tempted to shoot your window out. I've seen a few episodes of Whale Wars and those anti-whaling folks can be real asses.
..off to the Rubbish or Political section this goes.

This is the main reason I don't carry when I commute :roflol:

The Japanese may have made a huge mistake by taking such an aggressive action, even if they did it in the name of self-defense.
Agreed.

It's like walking out into traffic on a crosswalk, not waiting for a gap in the cars.
You've got the right of way, but that doesn't mean you won't end up in the hospital. As the driver had to pay a ticket, you lay there for 6 months with your legs broken saying "I sure showed him not to mess with me."

These protestors put the sailors aboard the Japanese vessals at risk when harassing the fishing boats.
So, I applaud the actions of the Japanese!! :2thumbs:

Its illegal not to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk regardless of gaps in traffic.
So, I applaud the actions of the Japanese!! :2thumbs:

It just occurred to me that I have shown excitement for this video but I would like to make my opinion clear that I am VERY against commercial whaling. I can't believe the Japanese have gotten away with it for so long. Anyway, I think the video is really cool but that is nothing to do with the fact that it is the protesters boat being destroyed. It is because you get a very good camera shot of what appears to be the Bat-boat being shredded.

summit.
concerning the pedestrian thing and right of way.
just because you have the right of way, doesn't mean so should take the right of way. you still need to look both ways.
guy. "but i had the right of way."
god. "but you're still dead"

It was a joke, Jeff Foxworthy hosts a hunting show Friday nights during the fall called Vs. Country, if you don't watch VS in the fall you wouldn't get it. :ne_nau:
