Yes I would rather be posting some trip report, but I have this to offer instead.
We bought some fish for pets. Most did not make it through the year, due to the broken promises of a minor. As an act of mercy we feel compelled to find this ultimate survivor a good home.
This plecostomus is a hardy feller (if it is in fact a boy, I don't know). Good temperment. Good with children. Acquarius. Tank trained. Hours of endless fun.
I am in the Sandy, UT area.

Aren't the ultimate survivors usually the bottom feeders?

I used to have one of these fish (Dracula), so named because he ate the other fish in the tank. The problem I discovered with these fish is that they need a tank that has enough algea growth to feed on. Until the tank actually grows algea you can secure a piece of cucumber to a small rock and they can live off that food for months.
good luck finding a home for the lil' guy/gal...

any fish that will retrieve money and be willing to live in a small glass jar would be a joy to have around the house. hours of fun and amazement are to be had. someone give this poor fish a home.
I'd love to offer a spot but it would take a lot of vegetables to make a fish this small into a meal... :naughty:

Thanks, I hope he finds some happy fish farm to live on. Algea growth was definitely not a problem. Maybe that is why he did so well. :eek2:

The glass bowl was a temporary home while we cleaned his tank. If I said he spits out quarters, would that help find him a home? :haha:

Try local tropical fish stores. Chains usually won't take them but the privately owned stores should happily help you out.

If it's still available, I'll take it. My lone Plescostomus can use a friend.
