Hey I made it out alive. Trip of a lifetime and I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks they can handle it. Worth all the money and effort and time.

The trip was suppose to be 1500Km it turned out to be over 2100.
Thats about 1300 miles of some ass kicking jungle. I left the US on Nov 29 and returned Dec 23rd.

Seven vehicles did not make it, various problems made them drop out.

The RZR-S made it with only a few problems. LOTS of people did not think the RZR could handle this trip. They think different now.

Here are some photos.

More complete details are here on UTVweekly.com
http://utvweekly.com/index.php/category/utv-weekly-exclusive/

I have a TON of video that I have not had time to work on so stay tuned.

At times we were 500 miles from anything resembling a real town.

There are over 1000 photos at www.utvweekly.com.

I have a ton of video I have not done anything with yet. Stay tuned.

Simply.. WOW!!!

Just a question then. Since I have no words to describe the amazing pics. The cars that dropped out. are they permanent parts of the jungle now? I imagine there would be no way to retrieve them. Talk about a serious gamble... Anything breaks, you lose your rig and you barely get out alive I bet.

Wow!!

:five:

Edit found the answer reading the other article you posted... What a great read man. Epic tale for sure..

Seven of them had to drop out at about 1500Km mark and take the long way around to meet us at the end due to several mechanical problems that could not be addressed in the jungle.

Great photos and very fun to read. Thanks for sharing!

This is what I like about Bogley. I would never have read about a trip like this without a place that mixes so many types of adventure pursuits

Amazing! My jaw dropped at every picture, I don't know which was the most amazing. Even though you said the RzR made it, that looks so stinking rough I don't think I would even consider taking anything less than a tank in there.

Finally, you said

right after the chicken was sacrificed

is that a euphamism? :naughty:

Nope, it happened. And we were all annointed with its blood. I'll post video soon.

Wow! Normally, I don't look at the atv posts (usually just the canyoneering and climbing stuff), but that is the most awesome TR/photos that I've seen on Bogley! Borneo is one out of the way place. If things went wrong,...jeez, I can't imagine.

A few years ago an expedition tried to make this trip and failed.
They had to get Chinook helicopters to extact the vehicles.
The cost was astronomical.

It is very possible to get into a situation where you cannot go forward and not go back.

Our success is a very big deal in Indonesia.

Great pics and what a ride, man! :2thumbs: So, what about wildlife? Isn't that where the giant lizards are, and the huge spiders and stuff like that?

The largest insect on earth was discovered there in 2006. A giant walking stick 22 inches long. I didn't see one.

We saw monkeys and tons of insects. One part of the group saw a python.
Pretty much everything that can move did. We made a lot of noise the jungle is not use to hearing so the critters rtun away.
