this little mass of rock lies along the southeast slopes of the western muddy mountains in lake mead nra and sits above bowl of fire. from the summit there are good views in every direction. it was about 8 miles round trip car to summit to car, w/ plenty of distractions along the way to slow progress w/ their invitations to explore and wander.

I love that area. The Anniversary mine, too! Great little slot and so so unusual. I want to hike into Pinto Valley, soon.
Great pictures! fun read. thanks. Ever been up to Muddy Peak?

haven't hit muddy peak yet. on the to do list... hidden valley is a GREAT area to the north of the western muddys, been there numerous times.

pinto valley is ok. definitely walk pinto ridge, nice views from up there and some scattered fossils on its east end.
