So last night at the family Christmas party our Nikon kit 18-55mm lens died (couldn't move the zoom, crap rattling around in there). So with the holiday's upon us we had to get a new lens and now.
I shopped around a few places and instead of getting another 18-55mm lens I was able to pick up a Nikon 18-105mm VR.
Was this a good upgrade?
Please be honest rather than kind. I'd like to know if I should return it and get something else. I can't afford the $800 lens I would like and I spent about $350 for this one.
