Just got a Video Update together on Desert Rat Productions website. Check out this video of Lauren Lee climbing a sweet little 5.14a, "The Present" in The Gorilla Cliffs in the Utah Hills.

Going to be doing tons more updates in the near future, and expect to see us at the St. George Climbing Festival in February.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

It's in quicktime, bummer. Got a youtube link or something as backup so I can see it?

still working on the site format, hopefully we will have a few different versions in the future.

out of curiosity, why don't you have quicktime installed? compatibility or space limitations or annoyingism?

Oh man that was sweet! Thanks for the upload man. I really liked the 2 finger grab she did, simply amazing. took a couple of heavy falls there too. Made me catch my breath a couple times.

I won't install quicktime because there is no way to get it off your system once on. You will think you got it off, but I can show where it still resides in your memory, running all the time your machine is on. I don't like apple products and the way they take over your system. And I can prove quicktime is spying on you. Just install any packet sniffer like Wireshark and watch the huge amounts of data quicktime sends out regarding your system. Of course it's only a packet sniffer so who knows what they are actually sending, could even be harmless, but I would rather not take a chance. I work with classified data all day and if any leaked, my ass would be grass.

I also don't like a program that sends out data when I think I have it uninstalled and cant even see it in the sys tray. Creeps me out. Maybe I'm paranoid, hehe. I have every single other type of media player installed though. They all run fine.

:five:

Nice vid.

By the way, to disable all of the quicktime stuff from updating and all that junk, just rename the qttask.exe file to someting else, like qttask1.exe

It's in C:\Program Files\QuickTime

The same goes with IPodService.exe and iTunesHelper.exe. Sometimes we do this in the school labs with adobe updater so it won't kill the bandwidth.

cool, I definitely understand that, I don't see any reason for that type of thing to go on either.

quicktime is better for us right now though because of the ipod touch support so we can show stuff easier at shows or coffee shops and stuff, but in the near future we hope to support multiple formats and possibly cookies to remember what format and quality you (or anyone) prefers
