View Full Version : Trip Report Moab, Nov 20-22

Took some girls I work with down to Moab the weekend before Thanksgiving. Neither had ever been there before. We all drank a bit much and the amount of photos taken suffered from this.
They were late getting down there Friday the 20th so I fished on the Colorado near camp at Goose Island. I caught one little cat, no picture and the went into town for Salmon patty breakfast at the Eklecticafe.
Once the girls made it to town we went into Arches and hike into the Devils Garden area. Went out past Landscape Arch and played around on and off the fins. That night we cooked and drank way too much in camp. Met some cool canyoneers from CO and shared beers with them.
Saturday we slept in, took way too long putting makeup on and didn't see Delicate Arch as I had planned. We did the Ranger lead hike in the Fiery Furnace and saw most of the drive-up stuff in the park. Again, too much alcohol that night. A lot colder that second night too.
Sunday was another late morning, tear down camp and out to breakfast. After the girls took off I hiked up to see Morning Glory arch myself and then drove home.
