Cranked out an Imlay Sneak Route yesterday with The Desert Nomad and two visiting Canucks. Beautiful weather - surprising conditions! Water levels are very low (as in, two, maybe three swims the whole canyon) and sand levels are very high. This radically changes the nature of the canyon, as there are few pothole escapes (but there are a few) and no pothole escapes from swims. We tossed things three times (the Stump, one pothole escape near the end, and the 3rd to last rap toss to a guided rappel past two potholes.
The last rap had a hodge-podge of webbing going hither and yon which I cleaned up into a single, well-secured strand. 5:45 am to 2:30 pm (touchdown in the Narrows). A good time was had by all.
