So I forgot about a bunch of grapes I picked in a 5 gallon bucked about a week and a half ago and I was just reminded about them when I smelled the fermenting juice.
So I'm in the moonshine business now and I've got PLENTY of grapes left on the vine.
Just curious, how long does it take to turn into booze
Well as it has O2 and not femented properly I wouldn't drink it.. but if you have plenty grapes left then I would rinse a bunch and get some yeast killer and rinse half of what you will use to make your wine with the yeast killer (you don't want too much of that natural yeast) then put them in with water do about 50/50 water to grapes and make a bubbler so that they don't ferment to quick due to the o2.. then you are looking at about 30-40 days then strain everything and put it back into the bubbling setup for another month or so... a hydrometer would give you more accurate results though... then give it a taste :)
ya I know probably more than you wanted

Ya...you could drink it now as is...but it would probably be bitter and taste like crap. It would have alcohol in it though. I tried making wine a while back with homegrown grapes too, and although it was alcoholic it was nasty. Like Tooele says...ya gotta do it in the absence of O2.
