There's a few spots along Onion Creek. I've camped at Top of the World before....above Fisher Tower. You can also take the Entrada Bluffs Road to the Dolores Triange Road. This will bring you to some nice sites near the Dolores River.

Onion Creek would be the closest option, though

There are numerous BLM campsites located along Onion Creek. Portable toilets are required for those camping along Onion Creek.

Fine with me.... just as long as I don't have to hold it for you.....

I got a little kids potty I can just toss in the car, you think it will save me from a ticket?
I don't even plan on being there any longer than for one nights sleep.... hitting the road bright and early in the morning and changing areas.

I really don't have any clue what the actual rules at. I just remember reading the sign last spring when I was hiking Onion Creek and include the info in my Onion Creek route description.

It's an awesome area to explore if you have never been there. My family loved it. :2thumbs:

Remember, when using free designated sites, you are required to remove all solid human waste from the area. Campers are required to possess, set up and use portable toilets. Campers may not bury, or leave exposed, solid human body waste and soiled toilet paper. The disposal of solid human waste off public land is required. You must camp only in marked sites, and no wood cutting is allowed. Following these simple rules will ensure that the sites are attractive to future campers. Enjoy your stay!

Onion Creek is no longer free.

If it has to be somewhere free, there are some good campsites if you head up the road heading west above Dewey Bridge.

There was a CG and free spots - awesome spot but too many ORV's for me.
