My kids have been following this for the past couple of weeks.... my youngest has a teacher who is really into this stuff so we get a warning of the good nights and times to watch.

Last week was really cool as the space station and the shuttle were flying in formation as the shuttle undocked. Both were easily to see with the naked eye as they crossed right over our house at about 10 pm.

Fun stuff to do with your kids. :2thumbs:

I was looking at Jupiter and 3 moons that were around it a couple of nights ago with my son and his home made telescope. He would probably stay up all night looking at the sky if I let him.

We had a great view of the ISS tonight at work from the control tower in Vancouver.

At first, we were watching a Cathay Pacific 777 approaching from about 40 miles out - very impressed by the clarity of the atmosphere. Then we saw another light above it, moving fast. Took us a couple of minutes to realize what we were seeing.

One of the guys brought up the live tracking website of it, and the last view we had, it was between San Francisco, and Los Angeles, moving southeast fast. Very bright, and visible for a long way!
