I've got a permit to the Subway (from bottom, but one day I will learn to do top down) on Saturday Oct 10 and I plan on doing the Narrows Sunday. Should I try and rent dry pants? I've done the narrows once before in warm weather and I'm thinking if it cools down quite a bit this time of year I should get the pants. I don't know how much wading is required for the Subway. I would like to back to Keyhole falls but I've read there is a large pool that you need to wade through, would that be doable without the pants?
