we are from UK and hoping to get to the southwest in a week or two time. we're thinking of getting a truck camper for a month. actually we want something big enough to let 2 adult and a 4 years old girl sleep in it. we can bring along our sleeping kit we don't need cooking facility or toilet.

we'd appreciate any suggestion. we can fly to any major airport in the area like las vegas, phoenix, new mexico,...

we have looked at rv rental. they tend to have big motorhome which might not be suitable to go down dirt road.

thanks

RVs are rentals, rentals = best off road vehicles out there!

Just kidding, I personally don't know of any "truck RV rentals" that would allow you to go offroad. Sorry

Rent an SUV. recline the back seats and you'll have yourself a nice almost queen size bedding :2thumbs:

the unknown bit is which suv will have back seat that is fully reclined.

i like 4X4 pickup with an enclosure over the back. my dad has one,...nice. i have a jeep cherokee(old model) whose back seat can flip and flap and turn into a flatbed. i don't know if the recent model from carhire can do the same thing.

There are some older 4x4 vans. I don't know if anyone is renting them. They're probably hard to come by, but would provide nice sleeping accomodations.

Not sure if this would be of interest to you. I have personally never used them, just noticed on another forum. Jim
