About a month ago I posted about how my camera fell in the lake. I was able to get it working again.
This time I was hiking back down from hiking Half Dome. I had two cameras with me, my digital Olympus, and my old Pentax 35mm. I had stopped to change film in the Pentax and put the digital, which I had been carrying in my back pocket, on a rock so I wouldn't sit on the camera. A guy sees me and starts talking to me, asking me if I'm from Utah because I'm wearing my Moab shirt, and I promptly finish putting film in the other camera, and forget that I had put the Oly down. So I take off down the trail without it. About five minutes later, I realize I didn't have it and in a panic, run back up the trail, which is quite a feat considering how worn out I was. The first people I pass who are coming down didn't see it, but the second people ask me "did you lose a camera?" I practically kissed them when they gave it to me as all of my most important shots were on that thing.
I'd better not have any more mishaps. The third time's the charm.
