Saw this news article...kinda sad story about selling mining rights on eBay which could be very detrimental to this cave:

It would be nice if a collection of cavers could buy it. It would surely take a lot, but I would contribute (a little :) ).

That would be nice if the sale is valid. This sounds like something the federal government will have to clear up. There are some interesting points: 1) The cave is on federal land and property of the government. 2) Will the Federal Cave Resources Protection Act have any impact on this mining claim since the cave is labeled as significant.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope the Utah BLM will step and help protect their (our) property.

I wish someone could preserve it for everyone to use instead of it being a chunk of meat on eBay.

Unfortunately the person who grabbed the claim does not seem all that concerned about anything but money at this point.
