Timpanogos - Apsen Grove

I took Wednesday off work to day hike Timp from Aspen Grove to avoid the masses on the weekends. Just like our last backpacking trip up Timp there were two tents right in the middle of Emerald Lake w/ dogs. Why people choose to camp IN the water source right in the middle of highest traffic area on the entire mountain is bit beyond me especially when there are some excellent private areas slightly to the east.
A good but long hike, 10.5 hours round trip from Aspen Grove to the summit and back with plenty of stops along the way.
