My wife's family has a reunion every 24th of July. This year, like last, was at Downata Hot Springs, just outside Downey Idaho.

We did the Motorhome thing, the park even had WiFi. :haha: I laugh, because I guess I haven't been pampered like that in the outdoors for a while.

Downata has a decent pool with some waterslides. I was a little disappointed the first time because I was looking for some hot springs like up at Lava that we could chill out in, but that wasn't the case.

We then drove up about 20 miles (?) to Lava Hot Springs and did a few runs on the Portneuf River and sat in some hot springs along the river for a bit.

My boy and I flipped on the river once on our tube. This really sucked because I promised him I wouldn't let him fall in, and he was absolutely terrified the rest of the time. I didn't realize how hard it would be to paddle while holding the tube and holding him, so we could position ourselves just right. He got a little banged up too on the lava rocks. :( I feel pretty bad. But nonetheless, here's the short clip of that.

Looks fun.... but man, my heart skipped a beat when I saw you guys go in. That's my biggest fear about taking my boy down rivers is him falling in.

I am starting him slow and trying to get him used to river water.

Nice, that looks like a lot of fun.
