Hi all,
I'm going to hike Mystery tomorrow with some friends. I have always gone with 2 ropes, both at least 200 ft.

Tomorrow I'm going and I'm planning on taking 2 ropes. A 200' and a 125' (Imlay Canyon Rope 9mm). We're going to double rope rappel into the springs and then into the river.

The longest rap, according to Tom's Book is 120'. So, is that rope going to be long enough?

A 120' rope will work.

The Mystery Springs rappel is 115'. This rappel can actually be done with a shorter rope if you want to stage it using the pot hole 2/3's the way down (bolt hidden back under giant chokestone).

The Narrows rappel is also 115' feet.

Enjoy.....
