Speedgoat 50k at Snowbird

So a good friend of mine is an insanely talented ultrarunner who has won (some in record time) 3 big time mountain 100 mile runs this year. For the past three years, he also has held a 50k at Snowbird which I have had the privilege to photograph each time. The runners start at the base, head up to Hidden Peak after pretty big switchbacks, then down to Gorilla Pass and up and over Baldy, all the way down into lower Mineral Basin and Mary Ellen, back up near the Bookends, through the Peruvian Tunnel, down to the base of the Cirque, back up that ridge, down to the middle of Little Cloud bowl, back up to Hidden Peak then down to the base again for the finish. An awesome accomplishment for all involved. Pics below:
