How much does this class cost? Just curious. I may do a write up of it on examiner.com if you could send me some more info.

It is a slideshow / presentation and not really a class, and it is free. AND it is in Boulder, Colorado.

What Tom said. Thanks Tom.

Definitely not marketing as a class. Only have 1.5 to 2 hours. That being said, I specifically tried not to have it be "fluff". It's intended to give folks a good idea on what canyoneering is. What are examples of the different canyon types (A, B, C and variations in those), as well as examples of different canyon areas and general aspects of them. I go into gear used, and bring a bunch for show and tell. I also go over a big list of the dangers that you can run into (dehydration, anchors, hypothermia, remote, etc) and give some ways to mitigate that risk.

Have gotten good feedback, and have had at least 50 people every time I've done it; so I'll continue to do them twice a year until the attendance dwindles... Doing my best to share what I know/learned, hopefully to keep people out of the news. ;)

Take care,
A.J.
