Anyone here ever canyoneered Slate Gorge? or know someone who has?
Or... does anyone want to give it a whirl?
Below are a few pics I took from the rim in 2004 when first thinking about it....

I wonder how much is there to "canyoneer"! I've been by there a ton and thought harder about hiking down in with my fishing gear. If you do go, please make it a canyoneering and fishing trip.

Should be pretty short, maybe one to two miles top to bottom. I plan to jump in most the pools so the fishing might no be to hot. :haha:

I may be interested
Thought the area of Murdock Basin watterfalls, Little Deer Creek waterfalls, Cataract George of East Fork of the Duchesne looked promising.

I'd be down to check it out although ya, it will be short. There is info around on kayaking it. I'm guessing you will do it on a weekend though, and free weekends can be rare for me, I'm usually either working or climbing.

Maybe we should just have a Uinta Bogley fest..... :lol8:
Right now it looks like I might have the first weekend of August open..... but I was also thinking of maybe a Superior Ridge Scramble or Devil's Castle Scramble (both up LCC) that weekend....

Bummer. That's the one weekend this summer I'm not open. Working a film crew.
