Made a quick soft trip up to the Uintas this weekend with the fam. We had the intentions to do more hiking then we did but the mosquitoes were pretty bad and .. . well I have no other excuses. We made it up to Trial lake Friday afternoon around 5 and the campground was already full so we waited for the rest of our group then found a nice spot near Washington lake. We drove around area and let the kids throw rocks in some lakes before I took off to go shoot the sunset.
On this trip my two year old son figured out how to work the zipper on the tent and postpone his bed time by a few hours. It was cute at first but watching him wiggle out from under the rain fly for the 10th time at 11pm his antics lost their cuteness . :haha:
In morning we went over to Crystal Lake TH and luckily found a parking spot. We made a short hike up beyond Cliff Lake swatting mosquitoes non-stop the entire time. 20+ bites later (does bug spray attract these things?) we were headed home.
I took a lot of great photos and still have many more to process. I really want to make a trip back when the mosquito population has died down a bit... anyone tell me when that could be?

Great pics. My favorite time to go there is after the first frost, mid to late September - bugs mostly gone then.

Awesome, shots as always :2thumbs:

We camped at Mirror Lake saturday and hiked up around Cliff Lake on Sunday and you're right, you couldn't do anything to get the mosquitos off you.
